By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, June 4 Two-time former Chief Minister and president of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) Prafulla Kumar Mahanta today exuded confidence that the party would emerge stronger from the current state of crisis.

The ensuing national convention of the party, date of which is yet to be decided, would aim at bringing all concerned to a single platform and thereon work as a potent regional force in the nations political circuit.

On some dissidence by members within the party demanding change in leadership, Mahanta said, Anybody can demand anything and there is nothing new about it.

Meanwhile, Mahanta has written to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to trace the whereabouts of Onkarmal Agarwall, a senior leader of the AGP, who went missing on June 3 from Sahibganj railway station.

He made the last call to his son at 4:41 am on June 3 after which he is traceless, Mahanta said, adding that Agarwall had gone to Sahibganj to meet Hemlal Murmu, former Minister of Jharkhand and a BJP candidate from Rajmahal parliamentary constituency.
