AGP to strengthen base at Tinsukia

TINSUKIA, Sept 16 � To strengthen the base of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) in Tinsukia district, the ad hoc president of the party, Atul Bora visited Tinsukia on Monday and held a meeting with the party workers at its office premises here.

He discussed about the strengthening the base of the party right from the grass root level and appealed to the office bearers including the president of the district committee, Prakash Dutta and the workers to reach the people at the maximum level. He also advised the party workers to elaborate the misrule of the Congress party in the State for which the people were languishing.

Bora also stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the State has failed to meet up to the aspirations of the common people. It has also failed to combat the menace of price rise as it assured prior to the election. He appealed to all to gear up for the next Assembly election to be held in 2016.

Bora was accompanied by Tinkhong MLA, Anup Phukon, president of the youth wing of the party, Asom Yuba Parishad, Sunil Rajkonwar and former MLA, Hiranya Konwar.
