AGP to discuss LS poll strategy today

GUWAHATI, March 4 - The manifesto committee and the publicity committee of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), formed for the purpose of the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, will hold meetings at the regional party�s Ambari headquarters here tomorrow, during which a number of crucial decisions regarding the party�s strategy for the general elections are expected to be taken.

AGP general secretary Manoj Saikia said the party has stepped up its organisational activities in the run-up to the parliamentary elections.

�We have also drawn up a plan to hold meetings at the constituency level at various places in the coming days. A total of four different committees have been formed to look after various poll-related aspects. The central leadership of our party has already held detailed discussions with various district committees on issues related to the coming Lok Sabha elections,� he said.

Saikia said directions have been given to all AGP workers at the grassroots level to gear up for the electoral battle.
