AGP bid to reach out to people

By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Aug 8 - Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) will start Ghare Ghare Agopo (AGP in every household) from August 17 to establish contact with one crore people of the State with an aim at gearing up the party for the 2016 Assembly elections.

The party today held a workshop in presence of around 300 office-bearers and members of the party at its Ambari headquarters. The workshop was presided over by its working president Keshab Mahanta.

The office-bearers and members of the party were trained thoroughly on how to conduct the programme in their respective areas. The data on each of the families contacted by the party men would be preserved, along with the popular suggestions to the party in its campaign against the misrule and treacherous activities of both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The AGP members will also distribute a handbook among the people while conducting this programme, said an AGP press release here.
