Agatha interacts with students� delegation

DIBRUGARH, April 2 � Minister of State for Rural Development, Agatha Sangma, briefed the MSW students of Bosco Institute of Social Work, Jorhat, under Dibrugarh University about her ministry and how the department was carrying out various levels of work for uplift of the rural masses.

The MSW students paid a visit to the youngest Minister on Monday last at her office in Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi and interacted with her as part of their learning course, a press release stated.

Besides, Sangma also shared her experience as the youngest Minister in the present Central ministry. The students expressed concern over the slow pace development in the North East region. They also told the Minister that they were against the idea of public private partnership in the field of education, stating that the step would not be of much help to the weaker section of the society. The students presented her a �sorai�.

In all, 17 students of Bosco Institute are in Delhi on their study tour. During this tour they are visiting offices of various social organisations, meeting social activists and attending various seminars organised in Delhi, Joseph Kawa, a faculty member informed.
