Agartala-Ananda Vihar Rajdhani Express upgraded

GUWAHATI, April 19 - The NFR has upgraded the 20501/20502 Rajdhani Express running between Agartala and Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi under the �Project Swarn�.

Project Swarn is a scheme launched by the Ministry of Railways to improve the services in Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express trains.

�Under the project, attention has been laid on ten focus areas � housekeeping, punctuality, onboard entertainment, security, staff behaviour, catering, toilets, coach interiors, linen and onboard cleanliness,� said Pranav Jyoti Sharma, NFR Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO).

He added, �NFR developed aesthetic and passenger-friendly coach interiors on running rakes to establish new standards in passenger comfort in the Agartala-Anand Vihar Rajdhani Express under the project. Coach exteriors and interiors, toilets, onboard cleanliness, staff behaviour, catering, linen, punctuality, security and onboard entertainment were bettered under the project. Real time feedback from passenger is also a part of Project Swarn.�

The exteriors and interiors of the coaches have been upgraded by vinyl wrapping of gangway, doorway and internal areas of coaches.

�One way vision film has been provided on window glass in all coaches that facilitates the privacy of passengers. Train time table on acrylic sheet and unified instruction boards has been provided in all coaches. Heritage photos with lighting effect and wooden texture flooring has been provided in AC First Class coaches. Integrated Braille signage has been provided in all coaches. Toilet feedback system has also been added,� said Sharma.
