GUWAHATI, July 22 - The defending champions A G Assam won the 33rd Swahid Trophy defeating Maharana AC 1-0 in the final at Bondapara here yesterday.
The championship was organised by the Janata Sangha, Bondapara. Durga Boro of the winning team scored the lone goal in the 63rd minute.
In the closing ceremony Tankeswar Rabha CEO, Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council was present as the chief guest while noted footballer Gilbertson Sangma was the guest of honour. Satwinder Singh of AG Assam was adjudged as the player of the tournament, informed Debashis Sinha, general secretary of the CAS & CC in a release.
