DIBRUGARH, Sept 28 � All the school children of Borboruah LP School who were taken ill after having midday meal yesterday returned to their homes after undergoing medical examination and treatment at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH).
Most of the children were released from the hospital yesterday night while a few serious ones were sent home today. All the children were treated and had recuperated by evening, doctors who examined the affected children said.
However, the children did not attend classes as the school remained shut today.
Although a magisterial enquiry has been instituted to find out the causes leading to the incident, the All Adivasi Students� Association of Assam (AASAA) has demanded a high-level enquiry into the incident and said that the guilty should be punished as per the law.
