Aeronautical engineering exam centre in city

By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, April 25 In a positive development, students of select aeronautical engineering and allied technical courses will be able to appear for examinations from Guwahati itself. They will be able to take the exams from June this year, according to an official release.

This will be a relief to many students of the State who had to travel to other places in the country to take the examinations as there were no test centres here.

The Gauhati University in a letter has communicated to the Secretary (Exam), Aeronautical Society of India (ASI), New Delhi that the university will be able to conduct the ASSCCIATE Membership Examination on a schedule communicated by the ASI.

Appreciating the development, the College of Aeronautical Engineering near Borjhar has stated that it will benefit students from the region. Even though there is a high demand of aeronautical engineers in India and abroad, the presence of engineers from this region is very low.

Holding the examinations here will enable students in more numbers to consider aeronautical engineering as a career option.
