Aero modelling show held

GUWAHATI, March 27 � Meghalaya Governor RS Mooshahary today said that the aviation industry had lots of opportunities on offer, though the North East was yet to harness its potential.

Mooshahary was speaking at an Aero Modelling show-cum-competition organized by North East Students� Aeronautical Forum under College of Aeronautical Engineering (CAE), Guwahati at the Nehru Stadium.

Mooshahary, who was chief guest of the function, appreciated the step taken by the College of Aeronautical Engineering, and said, �The aviation sector is growing in the region and I believe, in the next five to ten years, it would open up a lot of employment opportunities to the students of the region.�

Meanwhile, Heman Sarma of India Institute of Technology, Guwahati was adjudged the winner of the competition for his display of the �Thunder Tiger Helicopter.�

Four participants took part in the competition. IGP (Border) Kula Saikia, and B Lahkar, chairman and managing director of CAE were also present on the occasion amongst a host of other dignitaries.
