GUWAHATI, May 10 Left by their guardians on the streets in Hajo, two twin sisters, about two-and-a-half years of age, got a home away from home at Matri Mandir, a Guwahati-based specialised adoption agency, on the occasion of Mothers Day today.

The twin sisters were brought to the Matri Mandir with the help of Hajo Police. The officer-in-charge of Hajo Police Station called us yesterday evening, requesting us to take care of the twin sisters, who were left on the streets due to some marital discord between their parents. We arranged for bringing the infants to our institution. We do not have much information about the twins, but they are playful and are in good health, said Dipali Bora, coordinator, Matri Mandir.

The twin sisters also participated in the regular health check-up camps of Matri Mandir held today. Staff Reporter
