Administrator of BTC holds review meet

GUWAHATI, May 9 - Government officials must be responsive to the people, said BTC Administrator Rajesh Prasad today at Mushalpur in a review meeting at the DC�s office conference hall. He also appealed to the officers of various departments to think from the perspective of the common man.

Under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Baksa, Ranjan Sharma, the newly-appointed administrator Prasad took stock of the ongoing schemes under various departments in the district. He asked the officials of Water Resources, PHE, PWD, Agriculture etc., to finish their ongoing schemes before the forthcoming monsoon session

Prasad also asked District Veterinary officer about the production of eggs and condition of the piggeries and pigs.

He ordered Superintendent of Food & Civil Supplies to distribute rice to people without NFSA cards in a proper manner. He also asked all ADCs, Civil SDOs and Circle Officers to visit and verify the ongoing schemes of different departments under their respective areas and submit the report to the Deputy Commissioner immediately.
