Each task force is headed by an additional district magistrate or executive magistrate, said Dr M Angamuthu, Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (M).

He said a standing order has been issued to all Durga Puja committees to construct temporary structures considering all safety norms and to acquire safety certificates from competent authorities.
