Admin assures not to close down Army-run school

RANGIYA, March 9 - Kamrup (Rural) district administration has assured the public not to close down the Army-run Red Horns Public School located near Red Horns Division Headquarters here.

A meeting was held yesterday at the conference hall of SDO (civil), Rangiya in this regard, in which Kamrup ADC Dorothi Susiang, Rangiya SDO (civil) Munindra Bordoloi, SDPO Pranab Pegu, Lieutenant Colonel PS Shekhawat, Captain Bhaskar Sharma, besides representatives from AASU, AJYCP, Goriya Sayra Santha, Asim Yuva Samaj, teachers and guardians of the school participated.

The meet discussed the issue and finally the district administration urged the people not to panic over the issue and assured all possible initiatives for not closing down the school. Teachers and guardians expressed their satisfaction over the assurance.

It�s worth mentioning that earlier the Army had decided to close down the school after March 31. However, various organisations took to the streets demanding rollback of the decision.
