GUWAHATI, Nov 1 - Maligaon-headquartered Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to attach extra coaches to some express trains to clear the rush of passengers during November.
NFR Chief Public Relations Officer Pranav Jyoti Sharma said one AC 3-tier coach has been attached to the 15959/15960 Howrah-Dibrugarh-Howrah Kamrup Express, while one sleeper class coach has been attached to the 15643/15644 Kamakhya-Puri-Kamakhya Weekly Express.
Similarly, one sleeper class coach has been attached to the 15639/15640 Guwahati-Puri-Guwahati Weekly Express, and one AC 3-tier coach, three sleeper class coaches and one general class coach have been attached to the 55615/55616 Guwahati-Silchar-Guwahati BG Fast Passenger.
These augmentations have been done to cater to passenger demands for more accommodation, he said.
