GUWAHATI, Feb 28 - Addaghar, a meeting place for senior citizens in Guwahati, will be inaugurated at 11 am tomorrow.

To be housed in the former residence of writer-critic Munin Barkotoki and politician and social worker Renuka Devi Barkataki, this facility is located at Panchabati near Gauhati Club, a press release stated today.

Members can come here to sit and read newspapers over a cup of tea or coffee, meet old friends and make new ones, get their blood pressure and sugar checked, go out for events together, discuss problems with experts, join yoga or meditation classes, ask for help on new technology, and watch films among others.

Run by the Guwahati Jyestha Samaj, Panchabati, Addaghar will have provisions for a wall magazine, newspapers and periodicals, board and card games and periodic medical and legal consultation. Special activities such as going out to see a film or exhibition or inviting experts to interact with members will be organised every month.
