IMPHAL, April 30 � Manipur Election Commission today published the notification for the election to the 144 seats of the six Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) of Chandel, Churachandpur, Sadar Hills, Senapati, Tamenglong and Ukhrul. With this announcement, the model code of conduct came into effect in the State from today.
According to the notification, the last date of making nominations is fixed on May 6, scrutiny of nominations on May 7 and the last date of withdrawal of candidatures is May 11. The ADC polls will be held on June 1 from 7 am to 4.30 pm, and counting of ballots will be on June 10, while June 17 has been fixed as the date before which the election shall be completed.
