GUWAHATI, Feb 16 � An adaptation of Miro Gavran�s All About Women will be presented on February 17 and 18 as �Ahh Women�� by D` Passion Collective at Rabindra Bhawan here.
Internationally acclaimed Croatian playwright Miro Gavran�s works have been translated into 35 languages, and his books have come out in 150 different editions at home and abroad. His All About Women takes a look into the life of women, the turbulences they experience in different stages of life and how they relate with their situation. The play is like a garland that weaves experiences of sisterhood, motherhood, friendship and the volatility that emerges when challenged by rivals and lovers.
�It has always given me immense pleasure to present a play for the theatre lovers and critics of the North East. After a gap of seven years we are ready to present this adaptation,� said Sattyakee D`com Bhuyan, founder director, D` Passion Collective while interacting with media persons on Monday.
The play is also a comeback for director Bhuyan and his team to the theatre world of North East. Produced by Priya Communication, the music of the play has been scored by Promiti Phukan. According to the director, music has a crucial role in this play.
�The highlight of the production is that it deals with the lives, career and relationship of the women. Women being the high point of the play, the production has a cast of eight graceful ladies of Assam,� informed Bhuyan, adding that it has always been his effort to give a taste of uniqueness and quality to the theatre lovers.
