Activities allowed in Manipur during lockdown

IMPHAL, April 20 - The Manipur state Cabinet in its meeting today decided to exempt certain activities from the purview of the lockdown from tomorrow subject to observance of central directives to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

Activities permitted with necessary passes from April 21 till May 3 include supply of essential goods, movement of cargo, health-related activities, public utilities such as distribution of LPG etc, agricultural activities, fisheries, animal husbandry, finance sector, social sector, online teaching, MNREGA works, commercial and private establishments, construction activities, movement of persons to offices of central and state government.

Apart from deciding to contribute 30 percent of the ministers� annual salary to the Chief Minister�s covid-19 relief fund, the meet also agreed to release Rs 25 lakh each against MLAs local area development fund.
