GUWAHATI, Sept 4 - On the occasion of the silver jubilee of the 1993 Batch of ACS Officers, a plantation programme was organised at the Assam Administrative Staff College campus at Khanapara here a few days back, stated a press release issued here today.
The programme was inaugurated by the Director of the Assam Administrative Staff College Gokul Mohan Hazarika on September 1. Saplings of 31 different varieties of indigenous fruit-bearing trees and medicinal plants were planted during the programme. It may be noted that an orchard has been started inside the college campus where many important local varieties of highly valuable trees are already being nurtured.
The officers worked hand to hand to make the event memorable. The Director also expressed his pleasure over the enthusiasm shown by the officers and thanked them all for taking up such a sacred programme on the occasion of their successful completion of 25 years of service.
