GUWAHATI, June 12 - Several organizations and individuals have condoled the death of Achyut Lahkar, the father of mobile theatre in Assam.
Former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, in his condolence messagem said it was an irreparable loss to the cultural world of Assam. The All Assam Students� Union (AASU), in its message, said Lahkar�s contributions to the mobile theatre movement in Assam would continue to inspire the coming generations. AIUDF MP Sirajuddin Ajmal, Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, Guwahati Bihu Sanmilani, Journalists� Association of Assam (JAA), National Union of Journalists India (NUJI) have also condoled Lahkar�s demise.
