ITANAGAR, June 27 - Arunachal Pradesh Governor P B Acharya has inaugurated the office of the Autonomous Puroik Welfare Board here last evening.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor exhorted the Puroik community members to change their mindset, by forgetting the past and moving forward.

Open your mind and remove dependency mindset. Dont condemn yourself. Be proud of your identity, if you want to keep your culture alive. Dont let politics or religion interfere in ones own activities, Acharya told the Puroik community, one of the most backward sections of the society.

The Governor, while highlighting the centrally sponsored schemes such as Mudra Bank and Jan Dhan Yojana advised the community to go for skill education and entrepreneurship development.

Appreciating Chief Minister Pema Khandu for his prompt action in creation of the board and also for providing office rooms at the Civil Secretariat, the Governor said that the Khandu Governments gesture is in the true spirit of PM Modis slogan Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.

He exhorted that the fruits of development must reach to all the sections of the society in equal and appropriate manner.

State Assembly Speaker Tenzing Norbu Thongdok, while congratulating the community for achieving such a platform, said that it is an important milestone towards their development. He urged them to put in concerted effort in establishing permanent model Puroik villages.

Representing the Chief Minister, Parliamentary Secretary for Home and Education Pani Taram conveyed the CMs good wishes to the community and asked them to avail the maximum benefit from the facility. He also urged them to be proactive with the Government in order to gainfully address their problems and challenges.
