GUWAHATI, May 9 - Nekibur Zamal, who allegedly beat up a woman employee of Hotel Grand Majesty, located at Hatigaon and operated by hospitality company Oyo, surrendered this morning at the Basistha Police Station.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Nandini Kakoty informed this reporter that the person has been arrested and sent to judicial custody.
Meanwhile, in a statement, Oyo stood behind the employee saying that it has a zero tolerance policy towards any workplace harassment by staff, guests or third parties to its employees.
