ACA�s governing body meeting held

GUWAHATI, May 29 - A governing body meeting of the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) was held at the ACA�s Barsapara Stadium here today.

With all eyes on the annual general meeting (AGM) scheduled to be held on June 12 as per directions of the Gauhati High Court, the present governing body of the ACA discussed a number of issues including the development of the game in the State.

Gautam Roy, president of the ACA, said that the accounts of the last two years have been cleared and the association is looking forward to open academies in six zones in order to promote young talent.

Despite the Gauhati HC judgement, the already sacked secretary Bikash Baruah was also present during the occasion although he was refrained from making any statement.

The president added that he would not contest if elections take place.
