BONGAIGAON, Aug 20 - The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) will take out a rally tomorrow at Kajalgaon in Chirang district demanding arrest of a rape accused Mohibul Ali Ahmed (Babu) and against the rising incidents of rape in the district.

Mohibul (21), son of Sharif Ali Ahmed of Baikhungaon near Bortola under Dhaligaon Police Station, along with his friend had reportedly abducted a 12-year old (a minor) girl from a nearby area and raped her in a four-wheeler on the flyover at Bortola on August 15 at around 8 pm.

The incident came to light when the victim ran away from their control and cried for help on the highway. A person of Baikhungaon locality helped the victim to reach Dhaligaon Police Station the same night.

Police registered a case (no.174/19) under IPC Section 176 (B) and POCSO Act at Dhaligaon Police Station on the basis of a report lodged by the victims parent.

But the accused Mohibul is absconding and the police have not been able to trace him out as yet and for which the ABSU is taking out a rally tomorrow seeking his quick arrest and stringent punishment.
