By Correspondent

KOKRAJHAR, Sept 22 - A delegation of the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) today met the VC of Bodoland University (BU) and demanded that more students be admitted in all the post graduate departments in the University.

In a statement issued today, the assistant secretary of ABSU Kwrwmdao Wary said that due to the present situation, many students were unable to go out to distant universities for pursuing post graduate studies and therefore it demands that more seats be made available for post graduate studies in the greater interest of the student community of this region.

At the same time, the ABSU also urged Bodoland University to take steps for writing and submitting PhD thesis in Bodo language across all disciplines in the University like that of Assamese in Assam.

Meanwhile, the ABSU on Monday evening lit candles in support of implementation of BTR Accord at its head office at Bodofa House, Bagansali in Kokrajhar.
