ABSU flays RMSA move

UDALGURI, May 27 � The Udalguri district committee of the All Bodo Students� Union (ABSU) in a press release has condemned the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksa Abhijan (RMSA) for cancelling the walk-in-interview for the vacant post of district consultant ( programme management) for Udalguri district which was to be held on May 20.

Expressing its deep concern over the cancellation of the interview, a press release issued by Rinjoy Boro and Ananda Daimari, president and general secretary respectively of the Udalguri district committee of the students� organisation lamented the cancellation and said that the RMSA deprived the students and the eligible local youths of the job. The ABSU demanded the RMSA to readvertise for the vacant post and to conduct the interview in Udalguri failing which it would take necessary steps democratically, the press release added.

The ABSU press release also demanded the WPT and BC, Assam to release funds of both fresh and renewal post-matric scholarships of various colleges to the ST students of the session 2011-12 and 2012-13 respectively failing which the ABSU threatened to knock the door of the court in the near future.
