GUWAHATI, May 9 - A 170-ball 107 by Abhishek Thakuri enabled Silchar in scoring a fighting total of 237 in their fiirst innings against NF Railway Sports Association (NFRSA) on the opening day of the two-day fourth quarterfinal match of the Elite Group Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament.
Put into bat at the Barsapara cricket stadium here today, the Silchar team took 78.2 overs to reach the total where Abhishek remained the leading scorer. He cracked 12 boundaries and a six. Samik Das (35), Pritom Das (28) and Ikramul Ali (25) provided him able support in building their innings. Niraj Tiwari was the leading wicket taker for the NFRSA team removing four scalps.
At close NFRSA were 27 for one.
