GUWAHATI, Aug 14 - The 37th edition of the Abhiruchi Sports Day will be celebrated on September 3 all over the State.
The Day has been organized on the occasion of the birth day of first Arjuna Award winning athlete of Assam, Bhogeswar Barua.
The founder president of the organizing committee Balendra Mohan Chakravorty stated in a release that considering the prevailing situation due to COVID-19 pandemic, this time the Day will be observed in an austere manner.
Chakravorty further informed that if the situation improves, following government guideline activities like mass jogging, group dance, felicitation to the sportspersons among others will be organized later this year.
