GUWAHATI, May 21 � In a mysterious turn of events, a Class-V girl student of Gurukul Grammar Senior Secondary School was abducted by unknown miscreants this afternoon although the victim later made a lucky escape from the clutches of her abductors.
The incident took place at around 1.40 pm when Morchona Nath, the abducted girl student under reference, was coming out of her school. Incidentally, a group of miscreants came out of nowhere and suddenly forced her into a waiting Maruti van.
A couple of hours later, the girl somehow managed to escape via the dicky of the vehicle near the Gitanagar area.
Police said that the matter is being investigated and a case will be registered at the Noonmati Police Station.
Fortunately, the abducted girl did not sustain any bodily injury, according to the police.
Morchona Nath is a resident of Jonaki Nagar of Mothgharia area. Her father is a teacher by profession.
