Abducted girls rescued from Haryana

GANGTOK, Aug 28 - A Sikkim Police team led by Sub Inspector Tilak Chettri rescued two minor girls from Ambala, Haryana, who were kidnapped from here on August 14. The team also nabbed the traffickers with the help of Ambala Police.

A missing complaint was earlier made at the Sadar Police Station on August 15. With the analysis of call details, the police traced the location of the traffickers to Ambala on August 17. A team was immediately despatched from Gangtok.

The rescue mission had been challenging in the face of the lockdown and restrictions at multiple places. The IRB, Delhi, also helped the Sikkim team with logistics and manpower, stated police sources.
