AAU student leaves for BRICS Youth Summit

JORHAT, July 14 - Archita Goswami, who is a second year student of the College of Agriculture, Assam Agricultural University, has left for South Africa as part of a 13-member NSS (National Service Scheme) team of youths selected by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to attend the 4th BRICS Youth Summit to be held from July 15 to 18.

Archita is an accomplished Sattriya dancer and cultural performer as well as gifted in dramatics.

An AAU official said that Goswami was selected by the Government to attend the international event after she performed well at the NSS Republic Day Parade Camp this year. She also took part in the march past on the Raj Path on Republic Day. She originally hails from Tezpur.
