GUWAHATI, Dec 3 -�The AATA-AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament for U-16 boys and girls singles will start tomorrow from 8 am at the All Assam Tennis Association Complex in Chachal here.
Draws have been made today where 34 boys and 12 girls are participating. AITA has allowed only players from the home State to participate in the tournament due to ban on inter-state movement of the players as per guidelines of the Ministry of Sports, Government of India, due to prevailing COVID-19 situation.
In the boys U-16 singles event, Manan Nath got the top seeding while Jigyashman Hazarika is the second�seed. In the girls event, Kristi Boro will be the top seed while Namrata Das will be the second�seeded player. The chief referee of the tournament is Bedanta Buragohain of Assam, stated a press release.
