AASU tribute to 2008 blast victims today

GUWAHATI, Oct 29 - The All Assam Students� Union (AASU) will light earthen lamps in all the subdivisions and district headquarters of the State tomorrow evening as a tribute to those who died or were injured in the serial blasts took place on October 30, 2008 in Guwahati, Kokrajhar, Barpeta and Bongaigaon.

In a statement today, AASU president Dipanka Kumar Nath slammed the government for not providing proper settlement and a helping hand to the families of the blast victims. He demanded that the perpetrators of the gruesome crime be brought to book without delay.
