GUWAHATI, Aug 6 � Reacting to the statement of top NHPC officials on the Lower Subansiri Hydel Project, AASU today said NHPC was digressing from the main areas of concern.
In a statement, AASU said NHPC did not have satisfactory answers to the concerns raised by the expert committee in its report. It was also silent on the cumulative downstream impact of the proposed 168 big dams on the upper reaches of the Brahmaputra, AASU said.
