GUWAHATI, Sept 21 - Asking the State Government to take immediate measures for addressing the issues of the Assam Engineering College (AEC), the All Assam Students� Union (AASU) today said the �indifferent attitude� of the State Government towards the ongoing students� agitation in the college is a matter of concern.
AASU president Dipanka Kumar Nath and general secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi, in a statement, said that it is the responsibility of the State Government to secure the academic future of all the government engineering colleges.
Instead of making it a prestige issue, the Government should immediately act to resolve any problems being faced by the students through negotiations.
