AASU meet discusses Jorabat issues

JORABAT, Nov 23 - An executive meeting cum discussion was organised by the Jorabat AASU unit with the support of Dimoria AASU unit on the premises of Bhadrakaleshwari Mandir last evening.

At the meeting over 50 student members were inducted into the executive committee of Jorabat AASU, thus increasing the strength of the core executive committee to over 100 members. Chief advisor to Dimoria AASU unit Dibyajyoti Medhi expressed hope that this induction would strengthen the organisation.

Dimoria AASU unit president Jayanta Kalita said the organisation has lots of social work to do in the geographically strategic Jorabat region, adding that it would work for the betterment of the youths of the area by providing them a platform to fight against injustices and speak for the downtrodden section of society.

At the meeting where the president, the general secretary (in-charge) and other executive members of Jorabat AASU were present, many other social issues concerning the area were discussed.
