BAIHATA CHARIALI, June 29 - Under the aegis of 2 No. Pub Bongshar unit of AASU, a special felicitation meeting was held on Thursday at the Bhrigu Kumar Phukan public auditorium at Dadara.

The .meeting was held under the presidentship of Tapan Baishya, president of the AASU unit where 94 meritorious students of the area were felicitated for their excellent results in HSLC and HS examination 2018. Participating in the meeting as the chief guest, Kamal Kumar Baishya, Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup encouraged the students to be good citizens through their education while Madhab Chandra Deka, Inspector of Schools, Kamrup district called upon the students to work for the benefit of the nation after completion of their education.

In the meeting noted actress Amrita Gogoi, writer Maini Mahanta and the assistant secretary of AASU, Prakash Das also spoke as distinguished guests. On the other hand, Dhiraj Rajbongshi, Dibakar Kalita and Hemanta Das adviser, president and secretary of AASU Kamrup district unit respectively and Dharmeswar Das, office secretary of AASU graced the occasion as guests. Earlier, the president of the AASU unit hoisted the AASU flag and Hemen Kalita, secretary of the AASU unit performed swahid tarpan.
