GUWAHATI, June 10 - The All Assam Students� Union (AASU) today clarified that it has not given any bandh call tomorrow.
AASU�s clarification came after a fake message seeking people�s support to the former�s 12-hour bandh call was widely circulated across the social media.
The message that contains AASU�s logo, states that the bandh has been called for demanding justice for the two boys � Nilotpal Das and Abhijeet Nath � who were lynched by a mob in Karbi Anglong on Friday night.
�AASU has not called for a bandh tomorrow and it is a fake message creating confusion among the people. For the past one decade, we have been avoiding bandh calls. The last bandh called by the students� body was on November 1, 2008 after the serial blasts in several places of the State, including Guwahati on October 30,� AASU vice president Bipul Rabha said.
