AASU calls for talks with Bangladesh

NEW DELHI, May 2 - Seeking resolution of the foreigners problem on the basis of the Assam Accord, the All Assam Students Union (AASU) has called for bilateral dialogue with Bangladesh to deport the illegal migrants.

Talking to newsmen here, AASU advisor said that it has now become clear that people who are not aware about the ground realities of the situation in Assam have been creating misunderstanding. He was referring to the hearing in the Harsh Mander case in the Supreme Court.

Bhattacharya said they have full trust and faith in the Supreme Court and expressed confidence that justice will be delivered.
