By Correspondent

KALAIGAON, April 16: The AASU Kalaigaon Anchalik Committee has appealed to the people not to vote for any political parties or candidates supporting the Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2016 in the Lok Sabha polls to be held on April 18 in Mangaldai.

Ranjit Nath, newly elected president of AASU Kalaigaon Anchalik Committee, told this correspondent that AASU has always been fighting for the cause of preserving language and culture of ethnic groups of Assam and in no situation would allow national political parties like BJP to play with the emotion and sentiments of the people of Assam.

He criticised BJP for taking an anti-Assamese stand by bringing in the CAB.

Nath requested people to vote for a party or candidate opposing the Bill.
