AASAA mass stir over ST issue on Feb 29

DIBRUGARH, Feb 25 - The All Adivasi Students� Association of Assam (AASAA) has decided to organize mass agitations at all district headquarters on February 29 to press for scheduling of the Adivasi communities in Assam. The central executive committee of the Adivasi student body resolved that all district units of AASAA will submit common memorandum to the Prime Minister of India through respective Deputy Commissioners.

The student body has also resolved to intensify stir against the BJP-led Central government if it fails to fulfil the demand of scheduling of the Adivasis before the ensuing Assembly polls in Assam. The central leaders of AASAA have also instructed the district leaders to enquire about previous memorandums submitted at the offices of the Deputy Commissioners on various issues, a release stated.
