By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Feb 23 The All Adivasi Students Association of Assam (AASAA) on Wednesday condemned the brutal killing of its president Bosco Chermaco and has demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident.

The general secretary of the student body Joseph Minz hinted that a political conspiracy might be behind the incident and said that a particular force has been trying to bring division in the association. "We have noticed that before every election there is some unfortunate development that demoralises our tribe," said Minz adding that the student body would soon take a decision about its role in the coming Assembly elections.

The All Assam Students Union (AASU), while condemning the incident, called for immediate arrest of the culprits responsible for the heinous crime. It also criticized the State Government, saying that the incident exposed the Government to be existing only in name.

On the other hand, the Assam Kharia Mahasabha too has condemned the killing of the student leader and has demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident.

The Mahasabha has also extended its condolence to the family of the slain student leader.
