JAGIROAD, July 26 - The two-day conference of the All Adivasi Students� Association of Assam (AASAA) in collaboration with its Morigaon district committee was organised at Ulukushi LP School at Nellie, which concluded on Monday in the presence of delegates from 13 districts of the State.
A total of seven resolutions were adopted in the general body meeting organised on the occasion.
Vide a resolution, the general body meeting suspended AASAA�s central committee president Pradeep Nag, vice-president Rejan Horo and general secretary Joseph Minj for three months for their unconstitutional activities, adding that they are banned from performing any organisational activities and prohibited to use any seal, stamp and letter head of the organisation.
The meeting also unanimously chose AASAA�s vice-president and the publicity secretary Stephen Lakra and Daben Urang as working president and secretary incharge respectively. The meeting constituted a high-level enquiry committee to investigate allegations of involvement in unconstitutional activities by the aforementioned suspended leaders of AASAA.
The general body meeting also resolved that AASAA�s full- fledged central executive committee will be constituted at the central conference which will be held on August 27 and 28 at Demow in Sivasagar district.
