ITANAGAR, Aug 30 � The All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU) today welcomed a decision by a student organisation from Assam to lift the economic blockade imposed on the State.
AAPSU, which reached out to the AASU through the North East Students� Organisation to end the blockade, expressed hope that people living along the boundary will now be able to live in peace.
In a statement, AAPSU hailed the goodwill gesture by the AASU Sibsagar unit and requested the people to respect the sentiments of those living on the other side of the boundary. �We should not let people with vested interests destroy the bonhomie between the people of the two States,� AAPSU said. � PTI
