AAPSU condemns Galwan Valley incident

By Correspondent

ITANAGAR, June 16 - The All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU) has condemned the reported killing of an Indian Army officer and two jawans at the Galwan Valley in Ladakh on Monday night by the Chinese PLA.

Extending its solidarity with the Indian Army, the AAPSU said, The entire state of Arunachal Pradesh and the AAPSU stand strong with the brave jawans in this moment of grief. We take strong exception to the repeated incursions into the Indian side and provocations carried out by the Chinese PLA along the LAC at Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and other areas. Since the last few months, the Chinese armies have reportedly been carrying out incursion and other activities along the LAC. We strongly urge the Union Government to take extra vigil along the stretch of LAC across the state as there is every possibility of incursions in our state as well.

Despite the diplomatic talks with the Chinese and official engagements with the PLA, the troops deployed at the border should be ever vigilant as the Chinese have a history of breaking trust to further their selfish gains, the AAPSU said.

In view of the rising and unprovoked hostilities along the border by China, AAPSU president Hawa Bagang said that the time has come to carry out such economic and social boycott all across the country.
