GUWAHATI, April 12 � In the backdrop of escalation of rhino killing even as the State government keeps claiming that the necessary steps have been taken to tackle the issue, the Aam Aadmi Party, Assam unit, has decided to organize a public hearing in May on the issue.
�The one-horned rhino, pride of Assam�s wildlife conservation story, is grabbing headlines for their killing which is going on unabated.
�A lot of reasons have been ascribed behind it, but these killings have proved that both the State and the Central government are just mute spectators,� said the party regretting the failure of the government to address the issue despite repeated assertions of steps taken to tackle the challenge.
