BARPETA, March 14 � The 10th annual conference of All Assam Journalists Union will be held with a two days programme at Sarthebari in Barpeta district from April 4 next.
A strong reception committee with Mrinal Malla Patowary, senior journalist as president, Tankeswar Nath as working president, Putul Ali Seikh, Kalpanath Deka, Lalit Deka and Haramohan Barman as vice presidents, Nakul Talukdar as general secretary, Moinul Hoque Choudhury, Raju Ojah and Abdul Khalek as assistant secretaries and Gunajit Choudhury as treasurer were formed. The souvenir to be published on this occasion will be jointly edited by Bipul Deka and Mahananda Datta Sarkar.
Budget and programmes for the two days event has been finalised. Visiting journalists of the state will have an interaction with the local people and will visit the remote areas of the district.
