9th rank holder (Arts) Manashi wants to be a professor

BAIHATA CHARIALI, May 26 - Great jubilation prevailed in Changsari area over the sterling performance of Manashi Das, a student of Rup Konwar Academy of Changsari, who appeared from the Bezera Anchalik College examination centre and bagged the 9th position in the Higher Secondary final (Arts) Examination 2019, the results of which were declared yesterday.

Daughter of Premadhar Das and Dipanjali Das of Niz-Sindurighopa village under Kamrup district, Manashi obtained 466 marks out of 500 of which she secured 91 marks in Assamese, 96 in English, 94 in Anthropology, 85 in Education,100 in Logic and Philosophy and 80 in Political Science. �I felt happy enough when our Principal Sir told me about my result. I was hopeful of a good result in the examination, but did not expect such an excellent result as I was not so much serious about my studies. I took it easy but studied regularly like other students� Manashi told mediapersons.

Manashi studied at Chowkigate High School and passed HSLC Examination in first division. She wants to be a professor. Sheikh Firoj Khan, the Principal of the Academy said that the teachers and the staff were also very happy with the result and informed that this year, their pass percentage was 100 %. Two students secured distinction marks, five students obtained Star marks in the Arts stream, while in Commerce stream three students bagged star marks. The students of the Academy took out a rally with the brilliant student in the area and danced and sang with joy.
