NAGAON, July 10 - �Sahityacharya Mahim Bora was a great story teller and almost like the founder of the Assamese short story,� Asam Saitya Sabha�s former president Paramananda Rajbongshi said at a webinar organised on the occasion of the 97th birth anniversary of Mahim Bora at Nowgong College.
The birth anniversary celebration was organised by Shankardeva Sahitya Char-cha and the Department of Assamese, Nowgong College. Addressing the webinar on psychology of the Assamese short story, Rajbongshi said that during his tenure as the president of the Asam Saitya Sabha, Bora had dreamt of compiling a multilingual dictionary, but that dream remained unfulfilled.
Short story teller Dr Apurba Kumar Saikia attending as a core person said that as per Freud�s theory, a man is not a single identity, but there exist multiple identities in a single character. The concept of Ravana is derived from this multiple identity theory, he said.
